ABOUT URICM

Udaybhansinhji Regional Institute of Cooperative Management is one of the five Regional Institutes of Co-operative Management in the country, administered by the NATIONAL COUNCIL FOR CO-OPERATIVE TRAINING, training wing of National Co-operative Union of India (NCUI), New Delhi. This Institute caters to the training requirements of executives of cooperatives, department of Co-operation and other Government departments connected with cooperative movement of the State. The training programmes cover all the major areas of executive functions and all vital sectors of Cooperative management in order to infuse professionalism.

Our Mission

The mission of this Institute is to facilitate in building cadres of professional managers to hold key position in ever growing numbers of cooperatives in the State through organization of Management Development Programs, Training, Research & Consultancy, Seminar, Workshop, etc.,

Objectives

To strengthen and infuse professionalisation in Management of Cooperatives.
To provide opportunities to officers of Cooperative Department as well as Institutions of the State to horn their skills through exposure to modern management concepts, methods and techniques.
To inculcate a positive attitudes towards seven cooperative Principles and values amongst the participants.
To expose the participants to National and other States activities and integrity of cooperative movement.

Activities of the Institute

Management Education
The Institute Offers AICTE, New Delhi approved 2 years Post Graduate Diploma in Agri Business Management. This program has been designed by IRMA, Anand and the same as offered by VAMNICOM, Pune.
Co-operative Training
The Institute offers long duration and short duration training program for the co-operative sectors and government sectors. Long duration training program comprised of Higher Diploma in Cooperative Management (6 Months), Industrial Diploma in Cooperative Management (3 Months), Certificate Program in Computer Application (3 Months). Short Duration programs are designed on the demand of cliental organizations like Cooperative Banks, Government of Gujarat and various organization of Government of India.
Consultancy
The Institute offers consultancy to various organization which include cooperative organizations as well as government departments.
Research
The Institute conducts research for central and state government. The Institute is also recognized research centre for Management, Cooperation and Communication for Gujarat University
